A Natural Fragrance for House

My mom makes this natural fragrance for her house around the holidays and it smells amazing.  Not really a cookbook recipe but I thought I’d share it nonetheless.

In a pot, add:

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 Tbsp whole cloves
  • 4 bay leaves
  • ½ cup cranberries
  • 1 lemon, sliced

Bring water to a boil. Add more water as needed.

  1. We have a kettle simmering most days during the holidays. The recipe will last 2-3 days. Also I only use 1 tbsp of the cloves because I think 2 is overpowering. The recipe is easily adjusted to fit your “smell.”
